I’m Jen. I live in Michigan with my husband of 5 years (and my 2 cats!). I make my living as a high school Spanish teacher, coach, and foreign exchange student coordinator…but I also love to write. It’s always been a dream of mine to start a blog. (Thanks for checking it out + supporting me!)

This blog started out as a little bit about my own chaotic life experiences + navigating that life finding contentment in Christ…and to hopefully help others to do the same in the midst of their own chaos by providing tips, ideas, Bible studies + scriptures.

Then, as I dealt with infertility (we’ve been TTC for 2+ years — you can read my whole infertility story here), this blog became a little bit more about that — since I was doing a ton of research about fertility anyway, I figured why not include TTC tips? I was frustrated by the misinformation out there online by random bloggers (not to mention conflicting information and advice from actual doctors), so I read countless clinical trials and research results myself. My goal was then to provide unbiased, real, evidence-based information in plain English that could hopefully help other people. (You’ve read the blogs…I mean, does pineapple really help implantation? What the heck is a “cold uterus,” anyway? Are these things hoaxes or actually legit?!)

But while I’ve actually really enjoyed reading the research on all of these things + sharing my findings, in the end I’m just a schoolteacher, not a doctor. (Although I did become a bit obsessed with researching and writing about TTC tips for a while!)

In actuality, my real passion is writing about keeping faith in God and serving Him no matter the circumstances. (Warning: You may find that some of my infertility “encouragement” posts, like this one, are more challenging than comforting!)

So, my blog then returned to its original intent + name: finding contentment in Christ amidst the chaos. My own chaos still includes infertility, so yes, that will still be a main focus of this blog…but more so in the way of my own experiences, personal suggestions, Bible studies + devotions, and things I’ve learned about faith along the way. Overall, I hope this blog can help you to find contentment in Christ!
